Vic Hoops (BPL)
Vic is an expert Labour and Industrial Relations Consultant with extensive experience and exposure in the Mining Industry. He has a BPL (Baccalareus Personnel Management) degree from the University of the Free State, a DPLR (Industrial Relations Diploma) from Unisa, an MDP (Management Development Programme) Diploma from Unisa and he completed the SMP (Senior Management Programme) at the Henley Management College (England).
He has more than 35 years’ experience in the Mining Industry where he held the positions of Manager Manpower Resources at AngloGold Ashanti, Human Resources Executive at Simmer & Jack Mines and First Uranium and Human Resources Director at Durban Roodepoort Deep Ltd.
He specialises in dispute resolution, negotiations, Social and Labour Plan compilations and implementations and Sect 189 downsizing and restructurings.
Vic established one of the first Union/Management joint forums in the Mining Industry whilst at Freegold and successfully concluded Labour Agreements with the NUM, UASA, Solidarity and SAEWA in 2005 on behalf of Simmer & Jack Mines when Buffelsfontein Mine was bought out of liquidation.
He has successfully negotiated wage negotiation deals with Unions and Associations at various mines at numerous occasions and has recently managed to successfully conclude a number of significant Sect 189 downsizing exercises at various Mines as project leader.
Willie Marais (M.Soc.Sc.)
Willie has facilitated organisational change and renewal projects in several sectors of the business world. He strives to identify and work with the unique characteristics of organisations and to design strategies specific to the nature and needs of client organisations. As a result, he has extensive experience in the design of bespoke organization-wide projects, leadership development, talent assessment and growth.
He has played an active role in professional organisations and initiatives dealing with assessment and development centres, ethics in psychological practice, psychometric assessment and organisation development.
Willie is a registered Industrial Psychologist.

Hester-Mari has been involved in the fields of learning, talent development and group facilitation for more than 25 years. She spent several years as consultant and external training facilitator in the corporate arena, where she gained extensive practical experience in the field of people development, presentation and facilitation of organisational and human interventions.
